Seeing Loverboy play live has got to be one of my all-time fave things to do and I was not disappointed this past Saturday night.

The guys were slated to hit the stage at 8 p.m. and after a short delay they appeared at 8:20 . . . have to say it was weird to be seated in a showroom at a table to see them as every other show we have seen it has been a dash to the stage to see how close we could get!!! Our orchestra seats were incredible and we would have had awesome photos except for the Turning Stone Security (don’t even get me started on that!!)

"Notorious" started off the show and right from the start you could sense that the night would be magical . . . Mike’s voice has never been sweeter and I swear he hit every note better than any other time I have seen them play. The musicianship was tight and comfortable and the solos were dynamite as always . . . I knew the guys could never replace Scott but they could not have made a better choice to carry on with than Spider. He fits so completely with the band (probably helped by the fact that he has played with Paul and Mattie before) and his bass-playing is remarkable and he is a super nice guy to boot!!

They played pretty much the same set-list that they have been using the past little bit . . . even throwing in a fun version of The Beatles "Come Together" in the encore . . . I really believe that Mike could sing jingles about hemorrhoid medication and it would still make me melt!!!

All in all I would rate this show as one of my favorites and only hope that it is the first of many for this year!!
