Sunday, July 9th, outside the Seneca Niagara Casino was a beautiful day to see an awesome, high energy show that only Loverboy can do. From the moment they hit the stage with “The Kid is Hot Tonite”, until the last song, “Working For The Weekend”, the energy was high, the music was great, the vocals were perfect, and everyone was having a good time.
Loverboy made the day even hotter with songs like “Lucky Ones”, “It's Your Life”, “Take Me To The Top”, “Hot Girls In Love”, “Turn Me Loose”, and my favorite Loverboy tune, “When It's Over”. Mike even had the audience helping out with vocals on “Hot Girls In Love”, “Working For The Weekend”, and “When It's Over”.
Besides the classic Loverboy hits that we all know, they played two new ones. “The One That Got Away”, is a beautiful ballad that Mike sang with such feeling that it could easily become my new favorite Loverboy tune. The other new song they sang was “I'm Alive”, which is a rockin' song that only Loverboy knows how to do. It was great to hear some new stuff after so long!
As always, the show ended way too fast. This show just whets my appetite for the show in Blue Ash, OH in August. I can't wait!
