Review by Gaby and Sandra

Capital Music Hall
Ottawa, ON 06/17/05

So it seems it's my turn to write a review for a Loverboy concert, and I'm going to have help and input from a Loverboy fan from Germany, so this review wil be by Gaby and Sandra....

A few words first about the club--the guys HAVE played in cleaner venues, but the club was full, around 1,000, which was a capacity crowd. There is an upstairs in the club, but we were on the floor, at the stage!!!

There was an opening act, a very young band, whose name we didn't catch, and the music too, was rather forgettable, perhaps because we were so anxious for the 'Main Attraction' to appear!

It was not quite 10:15 PM when Loverboy hit the stage, and for the next almost 2 hours we were rocked to a whole string of hits, including The Kid Is Hot Tonite, Working For the Weekend, Hot Girls In Love, Turn Me Loose, When It's Over, This Could Be the NIght, It's Your Life, and Prissy Prissy (Tami's favorite), just to name a few. The encore maintained the fast pace with Lovin' Every Minute of It, and Jump.

But this review would not be complete without mentioning the incredible solos by Ken 'Spider' Sinneave and Matt Frenette. This was Gaby's first 'live' show, and she was as blown away by their performances as we were. The guys are always tight on-stage, the shows are never less than awesome, and this one was no exception. Thanks again guys, for a great show in Ottawa........and please come back soon!!
