The Avalon Ballroom at the Niagara Fallsview Casino is a beautiful venue for a rock concert. Big enough to hold a decent crowd yet it has a very intimate feel to it. Other than the fact that photos are not supposed to be allowed, it is probably one of my favourite places that I have seen the boys play.
The show started with a new intro....a walk down 80s memory lane so to speak, leading to a grand entrance by the band as they started right into their set list of all the classics. They played many of their hits...highlights for me being "This Could Be the Night" and a great version of "Emotional" by Paul. The solos were awesome as usual and it was so wonderful to see them play live again....it had been a long wait since last summer.
The very best part of the evening came when the guys played a new song!! I have to find out what it is called, but for those of you who get to see them play this year...it is a great treat!! It is very catchy and we can only hope that this is just the beginning of more new material from LOVERBOY!
